Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care and will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans. This role requires excellent communication skills, a thorough understanding of anatomy, and the ability to administer medications safely and effectively. Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care by assessing patients' needs and developing individualised care plans. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Monitor patients' vital signs and overall health status, documenting any changes accurately. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and medication management. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with healthcare regulations. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in nursing. Experience A valid nursing qualification and registration with the appropriate regulatory body along with PMVA certification. Proven experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not essential for newly qualified nurses. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to patient care. Demonstrated ability in medication administration and understanding of pharmacology principles. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families. A compassionate approach to patient care, with a focus on empathy and support during challenging times.
