Social network you want to login/join with: We are seeking a passionate and skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our Children’s and Young Persons (CYP) Service, delivering high-quality mental health services to young people aged 11-18/18-25. This role involves building relationships with educational, vocational, and leisure facilities, providing outreach support, and contributing to the development of innovative mental health services. This post is working 36.25 hours per week (Monday to Friday). What you will be doing: Collaborating within the CYP Service to support young people in the Jewish community facing mental health challenges. Managing a 1:1 caseload, guiding young people through their recovery journey and helping them achieve their goals. Providing a user-centred, holistic service that fosters recovery, safety, and positive risk-taking. Coordinating with health and social care organisations, schools, and further education institutions, offering appropriate referrals. Working with community partners to help young people find and maintain suitable employment, education, and volunteering opportunities. Participating in the establishment and operation of service user groups. Maintaining accurate electronic records and offering specialist assessments and holistic interventions. Collaboratively assessing and managing risks with young people, regularly re-evaluating support plans. Building local partnerships within the Jewish community to support mental health recovery and implement preventative strategies. Keeping abreast of current knowledge and advancements in mental health care for young adults. Following health and safety guidelines, including the Lone Worker Policy and risk assessments. Ensuring compliance with the Equality Act and other relevant legislation. Using video conferencing to support clients and attending regular supervision and relevant meetings. Taking part in Jami’s appraisal process and ensuring activities align with Jami’s values and the needs of the Jewish community. What you will need:

Professional qualification in Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Nursing, or relevant field. Further qualifications in Children and Young People’s Mental Health. Registration with HCPC or relevant governing body. Experience of working with young people (11-18) with mental health problems. Caseload management, initial assessment, and risk assessment skills. Understanding of Recovery principles and service user involvement. Ability to work holistically with individuals and groups. Experience developing group-based activities to support service users’ needs. Ability to form effective working relationships with professionals from various agencies and individuals experiencing mental health issues. Good IT, written, and verbal communication skills.
