Redditch Make a real difference in people’s lives. South Warwickshire and Worcestershire Mind is searching for a passionate and dedicated Safe Haven Practitioner to join our team. You’ll provide out-of-hours mental health support in a welcoming and calming environment, helping individuals navigate challenges and build resilience. Through its twilight telephone and face to face support, the Safe Haven service aims to: Prevent escalation of mental health problems and thereby avoid mental health crisis Prevent unnecessary referrals to secondary mental health services, A&E departments and other emergency out of hours services Improve mental health and wellbeing Increase independence and self- management Reduce isolation Main Responsibilities To provide 1:1 confidential, emotional support as required both over the telephone and face-to-face To provide advice and emotional support to individuals To provide a friendly welcome to the Safe Haven to new referrals To carry out initial assessments and maintain accurate case records To signpost and refer to alternative support as required Provide engaging and relevant activities on site for the individuals attending Are you a great listener with a strong emotional intelligence?
