We are looking for an experienced and passionate Mental Health Recovery Worker to join our team at Victoria Court, Wolverhampton. Victoria Court
is a 16 bed, 24/7 crisis referral and care service, supporting adults. The service provides support for people in crisis, both long stay and short stay accommodation. All our CQC registered homes aim to help people move on to more independent accommodation by providing support that meets their changing needs. How you will make a difference: As a Support Worker, you'll help individuals with mental illness regain confidence and participate in daily activities. You’ll work closely with service users to achieve personal goals and access the support needed for their recovery. Provide key worker support, including one-on-one assistance and coordinating with mental health agencies. Focus on individual needs, using communication, motivation, and coaching to help them reach their goals. Build respectful, honest relationships, maintaining professional boundaries and adhering to the Rethink Mental Illness Code of Conduct. Essential experience and skills required for this role: Transferable life/work experience to apply to this role. Knowledge and experience in IT and digital systems usage. Experience of providing support to people with a mental illness; or experience of providing care and/or support services within another social care setting in either a paid or voluntary capacity or experience of supporting people through a mental health crisis. A good listener, empathetic, understanding, kind, patient, and willing to learn. Can demonstrate behaviours consistent with the values of the Charity.
