Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Mental Health Social Worker to work full-time based in The Farndon Unit, Newark-on-Trent for Elysium Healthcare. The salary for this permanent Mental Health Social Worker job is up to £37,863 per annum.

Main duties: Educating Hospital staff about relevant safeguarding matters. Facilitating access to welfare rights, housing, advocacy services, and associated support services; participate in 1:1 supervision. Reporting to safeguarding agencies and regulatory bodies. Attendance at Safeguarding meetings in manager's absence. Maintain role within the Acute Service. Manage and support all social work staff including social work students on placements. Undertake a comprehensive assessment of patients’ social care needs. Full responsibility for managing a caseload. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of social work inputs to the care plan including Section 117 care planning and transfer summaries, reflecting the patient’s views. Requirements of this role: A social work qualification or equivalent. Understanding of relevant legislation. Registered or eligible for registration. This post requires registration with the relevant health professional council/governing body (Social Care England). Sound knowledge of relevant legislation. Sound knowledge of the process of MP, MHRT, CPA, and associated reports. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong assessment and care planning abilities. Willingness to undertake Level 4 Safeguarding Train the Trainer qualification and deliver Level 3 Safeguarding training to new inductees. Driver's License (full UK).
