About the school hiring a Mental Health Assistant: The school looking to hire a mental health assistant are a lovely specialist school. They are highly regarded in their area as well as sector and take the job of providing assistance and quality education to children who struggle with Autism as their main diagnosis, very seriously. This is a dynamic and positive environment that offer a differentiated view to education to their students. Each child is met with a tailored programme to ensure that they have all the tools they need to achieve not only academic success but also reach their personal goals. The role as a Mental Health Assistant Your main duty and role will be to support the students in the classroom. The support you provide will be either in a small group setting or 1 to 1. Your priority will be to ensure that these children have a warm and safe environment to come to everyday so that learning can take place. You will be supported by the class teacher and also have the advantage of being exposed to a multi-disciplinary team. This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals who are looking to make a difference in the lives of children with additional needs. Individuals who are aspiring graduates and those looking to start a career in either education or psychology are most welcome to apply. Those with backgrounds in sports, art or drama are also encouraged to apply.
