Mental Health Support - Oxford About the school hiring a Mental Health Support Assistant: The school looking to hire a Mental Health Support Assistant is a lovely mental health school looking after students between the ages of 3 and 11. They are highly regarded in their area as well as sector and take the job of providing assistance and quality education to children who struggle with social, emotional, and mental health needs very seriously. This is a dynamic and positive environment that offers a differentiated view to education for their students. Each child is met with a tailored programme to ensure that they have all the tools they need to achieve not only academic success but also reach their personal goals. The role as a Mental Health Support Assistant: Your main duty will be to support the students in the classroom. The support you provide will be either in a small group setting or 1 to 1. Your priority will be to ensure that these children have a warm and safe environment to come to every day so that learning can take place. You will be supported by the class teacher and also have the advantage of being exposed to a multi-disciplinary team. Those with backgrounds in sports, art, or drama are encouraged to apply. The successful Intervention Support Assistant: Will be calm, passionate about making a difference, and positive. Will have some experience working with children. Will understand the importance of safeguarding. Will have a DBS certificate or be willing to obtain one.
