Full Time, Hours are flexible; however, the package requires 24/7 Care. To start with, carers will be working 10am-6pm to understand the client's needs and requirements. Are you an experienced and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker with a minimum of 6 months UK-based healthcare experience working in the field of Acquired Brain Injury? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team in the Darlington area! About the role We are recruiting on behalf of Yorkshire Community Healthcare, who are looking for experienced Mental Health Support Workers with a compassionate and caring nature, ideally with experience in working in the field of Acquired Brain Injury and Challenging Behaviours. You will be providing support to a gentleman with an acquired brain injury with associated cognitive and behavioural issues. You will be supporting him to have independence in the community and at home; this may include supporting him with his job around the farm. This is a working farm, so carers must be willing to help the client when needed with the animals. Requirements: Right to work in the UK A minimum of 6 months UK experience working in Mental Health and Acquired Brain Injuries Must have experience with challenging behaviours Enthusiastic and outgoing personality to connect with the client and create a positive atmosphere Compassionate and patient nature with excellent communication skills Ability to complete the physical aspects of the role such as moving and handling Must be a driver with access to your own vehicle Valid UK driving licence with business insurance to support the client in the community when needed Must like animals; the young gentleman lives on a farm, so carers will be supporting the client on the farm when required Must be able to attend Mandatory trainings in Leeds Note: All successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
