Mental Health Support Worker

This is an incredible opportunity to make a positive difference by providing tailored mental health support to students, ensuring they have the emotional and social support needed to thrive. Responsibilities of a Mental Health Support Worker : Provide support to students with mental health needs, helping them manage their emotions and build coping strategies. Assist in implementing individualized support plans to meet each student’s specific needs. Work closely with the teaching team and other staff to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. Help students develop positive mental health habits and resilience. Monitor and report on students' progress, providing feedback to the school and parents when necessary. Requirements of a Mental Health Support Worker : Previous experience working with students or individuals with mental health needs is highly desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students. A compassionate, empathetic approach to supporting students with emotional and mental health needs. A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
