Ensure a safe and inclusive environment. Build supportive relationships with young people, following guidelines and placement plans. Encourage positive identity, self-worth, and promote educational opportunities. Support young people’s health, wellbeing, and advocate for social inclusion. Manage challenging behaviours according to guidelines and policies. Collaborate with families, colleagues, and external agencies for the best outcomes. Assist in maintaining family relationships and contribute to placement plans. Keep accurate records and assist with domestic duties, including meal prep. Show empathy and resilience in difficult situations while maintaining confidentiality. Qualifications & Skills

NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent (or willing to obtain within 6 months). Proficient in English, Math (GCSE level), and IT skills. Knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations (2015), safeguarding, and key legislation. At least 3 months’ experience working with children or adults’ services. Strong communication, organisational, and time management skills. A positive attitude towards diversity, inclusion, and supporting young people with additional needs.
