Learn more at ULAC.com The Role As a Merchandiser/Stock Planner, you will play a key role in driving data-driven decision-making for ULAC’s multi-brand accessories business in the UK. Reporting directly to the Sales Director, UK, with a dotted line to the Sales Forecasting Manager EU, you will be responsible for developing accurate sales forecasts, analyzing market trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory and sales performance. This role blends analytical skills with commercial insight and a strategic mindset to ensure that our sales forecasts align with business goals and support operational efficiency. What You’ll Do Sales Forecasting & Analysis Lead sales forecasting for ULAC’s multi-brand accessories business in the UK. Analyze historical sales trends, market conditions, and retailer performance to create accurate, data-driven forecasts. Ensure alignment of forecasts with sales targets, inventory requirements, and business objectives. Monitor forecast accuracy, refining strategies based on performance insights. Inventory & Demand Planning Collaborate with supply chain and inventory teams to ensure optimal stock levels. Provide input on production and purchasing decisions to maintain inventory balance. Identify potential stock risks, such as overstock or stockouts, and implement solutions to mitigate them. Track sell-through data from retail partners and respond to shifts in demand. Data Management & Reporting Develop and manage forecasting models, tools, and dashboards to ensure data accuracy. Provide regular reports on sales performance, forecast accuracy, and market insights to senior leadership. Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that guide decision-making. Cross-functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management Serve as the key point of contact for all forecasting and planning-related queries. Work closely with EU supply chain, operations, and finance teams to align forecasts with business and inventory planning. Partner with retail teams and the Sales Director to ensure collaborative forecasting and stock alignment. Market Insights & Strategy Keep up to date with market conditions, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to refine forecasts. Offer strategic insights on how to maximize sales opportunities and mitigate risks. Identify slow-moving products and recommend actions for clearance or promotions. Process Improvement Continuously assess and improve forecasting processes and methodologies. Optimize workflows to improve planning efficiency and accuracy. What You’ll Bring Key Skills & Competencies Analytical Mindset : Strong ability to recognize patterns, identify trends, and derive actionable insights from data. Attention to Detail : You’re precise in your work, ensuring accuracy in data and adherence to deadlines. Commercial Acumen : You understand the business impact of forecasting and planning decisions. Communication Skills : Able to explain complex data clearly to stakeholders at all levels. Problem-Solving : Skilled in identifying challenges and proactively implementing solutions. Technical Proficiency : Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs), and experience with ERP or forecasting tools are highly desirable. Experience & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in sales forecasting, merchandise planning, or demand planning within fashion, accessories, or retail. Experience working with multi-brand portfolios in fast-paced environments. Solid understanding of forecasting methodologies, inventory planning, and data analysis techniques. Why Join ULAC?
