That’s why we need people like you to help us deliver on our promises. People who enjoy getting things done with a focus on cost controls and profitability. Our Commercial Team plays a vital role in ensuring the cost-effective delivery of our services, and we have an opportunity for a Metering Commercial Business Partner to join us on our Anglian Water Alliance working within the Anglian Water region. The Role In this role, you’ll take the lead in analysing and reporting on costs across labour, materials, subcontractors, and plant. Your insights will help our operations teams understand their cost base, protect margins, and make informed investment decisions for the future. You’ll work closely with operational teams and the Anglian Commercial Manager to analyse, scrutinise, and manage costs, ensuring contract compliance and supporting the Water Recycling operational team. Building strong and lasting relationships with key stakeholders—both within our operations and with our client teams—will be a key part of your role, enabling you to manage business opportunities and address emerging risks effectively. Here’s a snapshot of the activities you’ll be involved in: Producing accurate and timely budgets, forecasts, and performance reports, including weekly and monthly updates. Identifying and managing financial and commercial risks, using tools for risk and opportunity management. Presenting data and reports at stakeholder meetings to support effective decision-making. We’d love to hear from you if you can demonstrate the following: You are an excellent communicator and problem solver. Our commercial colleagues need to be prompt in identifying risks and resolving any problems. If you have relevant experience as a Business Partner and cost analysis—ideally within the utilities or construction sectors—this could be the perfect role for you. What Next You apply, and we respond within two weeks (we know how annoying it is not to hear anything back)! If you don’t receive feedback within that timescale, please don’t be afraid to chase us - one of our values is to do what we say we will do! In addition to helping you reach your career goals, a competitive salary, pension, healthcare and holiday allowance starting at 24-26 days per annum, we also offer perks including Clancy Xtras, our employee benefits programme with discounts for numerous well-known retailers such as Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Currys PC World and Vue Cinemas, cycle to work scheme as well as an Employee Assistance Programme. Clancy is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all our employees. If you require any reasonable adjustments to be made for you to attend an interview, please do let us know and we will be happy to accommodate. We are proud signatories of the Armed Forces Covenant and Disability Confident Committed.
