Job Summary

Are you an Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) or a Children's Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) who has experience in delivering low intensity therapy to children and young people?

Do you want to be part of a supportive and friendly team? We are seeking either EMHP's or CWP's to be part of the Mental Health Schools Team (MHST).

Candidates can hold either qualification and must be able to demonstrate completion of the necessary post qualification consolidation period.

The role is aimed at providing early intervention to children and young people experiencing mild not moderate mental health difficulties.

You will work alongside other professionals and be part of a team that supports a cluster of around 20 schools and colleges each.

We work across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland and are currently prioritising vacancies in the Melton, Rutland and Hinckley areas however we have vacancies in all of our localities.

Main duties of the job

The Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) are a nationally driven initiative which offers mental health early intervention to children and young people.

This is via low-intensity CBT both on a 1:1 basis and via groups within education settings.

Candidates must evidence they have registration or application of registration with accredited professional bodies- BABCP or the BPS.

For this role you will require a full UK Driving License and access to a car- there are two car lease schemes available to LPT employees.
