Lloyd's is seeking to recruit an MI Analyst Actuarial Systems on a 6 Month FTC (Fixed Term Contract). The role holder will primarily assist the Manager, Actuarial Data and Systems to improve the efficiency and reliability of the data capabilities within the team by developing and enhancing systems, processes and reporting. Additionally, the role holder will be required to assist the team’s data scientists in their analytical projects. The responsibilities of MRC require significant volumes of data for which they must attest the accuracy, completeness and appropriateness. This role is a leading part of the maintenance and analyses of these datasets. Principal Accountabilities

Develop and enhance MRC reports and processes. Use Data Lake to manage MRC data. Develop and maintain Python scripts, using GitHub for version control. Develop and maintain our suite of dashboards. Gather and analyse the data required for projects and ad-hoc tasks including performing gap/impact analysis in Excel. Provide support to the actuarial teams as well as wider Lloyd’s departments as required. Provide assistance to the Lloyd’s Internal Model team with the use of Lloyd’s coding packages. Assist the team’s data scientists and engineers in predictive analytics projects. Understand the datasets used by MRC. Assist in the collection and management of key MRC data sets from the market. Assist in the validation process of these key data sets, including communicating issues to the market. Skills Knowledge and Experience

Python or the clear potential to develop Python skills. SQL or Data Lake knowledge. Microsoft Office. Analytical skills. Apply sense-checking to expectation of output. Proactively spot and raise issues which may mean deadlines are not met. Assist others with queries within own work area. Adapt style of communication to different audiences. Proactively recognise needs of wider team and adapt work undertaken appropriately. Used to suggesting new, practical ways of engineering existing processes within own work areas, including the adoption of new technology.
