Overview

Gallagher is one of the world’s largest insurance brokerage, risk management and consulting firms. The Digital Distribution division is a sub-division of Gallagher’s UK retail operation which specialises in online and digitally traded products. With a presence on all the big comparison sites for core personal lines products, and an ongoing strategy to digitalise specialist micro-SME products, the Digital Distribution division is at the forefront of innovation within Gallagher’s UK operations. The MI and Pricing analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting the ongoing growth of the division and the team. Reporting to the Head of Pricing and MI, this role will operate in a largely autonomous manner and really help shape the data and pricing strategy across the division. As the team looks to enhance the current reporting provision whilst also integrating acquired businesses, the analyst will be responsible for driving change through the creation and management of data assets, reporting and analysis. Taking pricing capabilities to the next stage is key to the division’s growth strategy, with planned investment in Data Science, Machine Learning and deeper analytics tools this role will play a huge role in supporting this next phase of advancement. This role would suit an MI analyst who is interested in broadening their responsibilities into more detailed insight and pricing analysis, with the scope to drive commercial decisions and influence trading outcomes. We can be flexible on location and will happily consider hybrid working in any of these offices: London/Romford/Tunbridge Wells/St. Neots/Bournemouth.

How you'll make an impact

Shape the data and pricing strategy across the Digital Distribution division, operating autonomously and reporting to the Head of Pricing and MI. Enhance current reporting provisions and integrate acquired businesses by creating and managing data assets, reporting, and analysis. Drive the advancement of pricing capabilities through planned investments in Data Science, Machine Learning, and advanced analytics tools. Provide detailed insight and pricing analysis to drive commercial decisions and influence trading outcomes. Communicate complex data and pricing analysis findings to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

About You

Proven MI experience within the insurance industry. Proficient in SQL, Advanced Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and MS Office Packages. Experience in Pricing and advanced data techniques (Machine Learning, R/Python) is desirable. A strong interest in Pricing is ideal. Positive and professional approach, with the ability to manage and prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment. Confident in managing stakeholders and communicating complex data insights. Passionate about data and its application in enhancing business performance through pricing and insight. Ability to work independently and challenge hypotheses, presenting alternative solutions backed by data. Eligible to work in the UK.
