Job Description:

The hotel is seeking an experienced MICE Sales Advisor to join its dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially astute individual with proven experience in MICE sales within the hotel sector. The role will be focused on reactive sales, meaning no cold calling will be required, allowing the successful candidate to focus on converting incoming enquiries into high-value events.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing events for groups of over 100 people, with a focus on driving revenue and providing exceptional client service. As a key member of the sales team, the MICE Sales Advisor will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, building relationships with clients, and ensuring the seamless delivery of events from initial inquiry through to execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond to inbound MICE enquiries and convert them into successful event bookings for the hotel, with a focus on events of 100+ people. Build and nurture relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and agencies to drive future business. Provide expert advice on event planning and venue options, ensuring a tailored experience for each client. Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless coordination and execution of events. Negotiate pricing and event packages to maximise revenue and meet targets. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the hotel's offerings, including room layouts, event space capacities, catering options, and AV services. Work closely with the sales team to ensure targets are met and exceeded. Track and report on sales performance, including revenue generation and conversion rates.

Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience in MICE sales within the hotel industry, with a strong understanding of event management for groups over 100 people. Exceptional sales skills, with the ability to convert leads into revenue-generating events. Commercially driven, with a keen understanding of revenue maximisation and pricing strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously. A proactive and reactive approach to sales, with a focus on building relationships and providing solutions for clients. Knowledge of event management software and CRM systems is desirable.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary: £30,000 - £37,000 per annum OTE: Uncapped commission structure, with the potential for significantly higher earnings based on event sales. Competitive benefits package, including hotel discounts, training, and development opportunities.
