The purpose of this role is to complete analysis of Water Samples within the Laboratory in accordance with documented procedures and provide technical expertise and interpretation of results. Please note this is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week, Friday - Tuesday 08:00 - 16:00. Responsibilities

Perform plate reading, confirmation and identification of tests in accordance with documented procedures. Provide training, supervision, and guidance to less experienced team members. Provide technical expertise and interpretation of results. Ensure samples received are handled in accordance with documented procedures, including attention to temperature control, storage, and maintenance of sample integrity. Ensure maintenance of accurate and systematic records as detailed in the quality procedures. Perform Calibrations, Daily checks and other quality related tasks as required. Work with the team to drive the laboratory forward through continuous improvement. Report any anomalies or concerns to direct report. Comply with Health and Safety procedures keeping the working environment clean and tidy. Maintenance of laboratory fittings and equipment as directed. Ensure personal protective equipment is worn in accordance with the Health & Safety policy. Provide a high level of internal and external customer care. Contribute to technical and operational improvement in the laboratory. Problem solve and work proactively to anticipate problems. Qualifications

Maths, English, Chemistry or Biology at GCSE grade C or above or equivalent Knowledge of UKAS, ISO methods Proficient in Microsoft Office One year’s laboratory experience. Experience in a fast paced working environment. Experience of Laboratory electronic management systems Good laboratory skills and practices Enthusiasm, energy and a driven outlook Additional Information
