Write reusable scripts/tools that help the team to reduce repetitive efforts. Maintain and extend our automation framework. Perform different types of tests – functional, non-functional, security, performance, etc. Work closely with both developers and product folks to understand the product from both perspectives and then devise/suggest an automation strategy. The key technical skills required to be successful in this role are basic knowledge of C# coupled with good experience in writing and running automated tests. SQL proficiency is required, as well as HTML/CSS knowledge to confidently browse page models and locate elements using locators of various kinds (Xpath, CSS, etc.).
