The Maternity Department at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, rated as Good in all areas (CQC, September 2021), is looking for motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Midwives to join their Maternity Team.

Main duties of the job
Approximately 2500 babies are born each year at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust. We offer women personalised care and choice of home birth, midwifery-led care, and multi-disciplinary care on our Labour Ward. Educated to Diploma/Degree level or equivalent Completed Preceptorship programme or equivalent Evidence of Continuing Professional Development Documented evidence of continued appropriate studies Certificate of Competency for IV Cannulation Certificate of Competency for IV Additives & Administration Certificate of Competency for Perineal Suturing Further relevant development to postgraduate certificate or equivalent Neonatal examination of the new-born certificate or equivalent Experience
Post-registration experience as a practising midwife having gained knowledge in all aspects of pregnancy, birth, and the postnatal period Band 6 competencies evidence Knowledge
Must be capable of carrying out physical activities required for the job Understands Risk Management and Complaints procedures Up to date with the NHS Agenda, national directives, and all Governance aspects Pin
Registered Midwife or equivalent Disclosure and Barring Service Check
