GMP Recruitment are currently seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join a highly successful steel fabrication specialist at their Bromsgrove site.
This is a full time, permanent position working Monday - Friday 07:00am - 16:00pm offering an hourly rate up to £15 p/h pending experience. Overtime is available.
The successful candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal components using MIG techniques.
Welder Main Duties:
Perform MIG welding on various metal components Read and interpret technical drawings to determine project specifications Use basic maths skills to measure and cut materials accurately Apply mechanical knowledge to operate power tools for cutting and shaping metal Assemble and fabricate metal parts according to project requirements Inspect welded joints to ensure they meet quality standards
Welder Required Skills and Background:
Proficient in MIG/MAG welding techniques Ability to use overhead crane Must have own tools (squares/punches/basic hand tools) Able to read fabrication drawings Demonstrate welding to a high standard including up to 25mm multi runs Reliable and punctual
