What's the Opportunity? A new position within an established and reputable metal fabrication company in Derby is available. Our client is seeking a MIG Welder Fabricator to join their team. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the quality assurance of goods leaving the premises using your welding and fabrication expertise. The role will focus on ensuring high-quality standards, adhering to health and safety, and meeting fabrication timescales.
What you'll be doing as a MIG Welder Fabricator: Performing MIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and steel materials. Ensuring the quality of goods through visual inspections. Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications accurately. Handling all gas and chemicals properly, adhering to safety protocols. Utilizing hand tools, band saws, presses, and other metalwork tools. Using measuring equipment for precision work. Communicating effectively with team members and management.
Your experience and attributes as a MIG Welder Fabricator will include:
Experience in welding and fabrication. Certification or coding is a plus but not essential. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Good verbal and written communication skills. A positive mindset and a can-do attitude.

Competitive hourly wage of £15-£17, depending on experience. Overtime paid at time and a half after 42 hours. Monday to Friday, 06:30 - 16:00, with an early finish on Fridays. Free parking available on-site.
