Role: System Engineer
Rates: 150 - 180 - PAYE.
Length: 3 - 6 Months
Location: Oxford
The Centre for Human Genetics requires a short-term contractor to help migrate users from a Windows domain to a centrally maintained domain. The candidate will also be involved in moving users' machines into an associated proprietary Access Control Framework.
The role will be primarily involved with migration from one domain to another. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of both group policy and user migration. The candidate will also be aware of the requirements for migrating client machines into a network tracking database.
Reporting to the IT Manager, the post holder will be required to interact with and support a wide range of stakeholders ranging from senior academic staff through Professional Services leads to technical staff. Strong communication skills and an ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels is a crucial part of this position.
