A well-established and rapidly growing manufacturer of heat exchangers is seeking an experienced MIG/TIG Welder/Fabricator to join their busy fabrication unit. With a wide range of unique designs and a strong reputation for quality, this role offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual to thrive in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Welding and fabricating mild steel pipes (3"-12" O/D, wall thickness 6-10mm). Minimal stainless-steel work, including shells (8"-16" O/D, 10s wall thickness). Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to produce high-quality work. Ensuring all finished welds are aesthetically pleasing for painting. Adhering to high safety standards while maintaining exceptional craftsmanship.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
Proven MIG/TIG welding and fabrication experience. Pipe welding expertise, with coded welding experience preferred. Strong ability to interpret technical engineering drawings. Commitment to producing high-quality work. Experience with heat exchanger components is an advantage but not required.
What's On Offer:
Hourly Rate: 15/hour (dependent on experience). Hours: 39 hours per week. Monday-Thursday: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm Friday: 7:30 am - 3:00 pm Breaks: 20-minute paid morning break and a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Opportunity to join a growing team and work on innovative projects in a supportive environment.
