Estimator Architectural & Structural Metalwork Job Title: Estimator Architectural & Structural Metalwork Location: Commutable to Ashford, Kent Remuneration: £45,000 - £55,000 + profit related bonus Benefits: Pension, health care, 25 days annual leave The role of the Estimator Architectural & Structural Metalwork will involve: Dealing with a high-end range of architectural metalwork systems such as structural steel, balconies, balustrades, staircases, railings, glass systems, decking & sheet metalwork. Carrying out take-offs from drawings and measurements to produce bills of quantities/price schedules. Dealing with enquiries from various clients via phone calls and emails. Preparing and submitting accurate and detailed tenders within the timeframe provided. Following up all submitted tenders, receiving feedback from clients and updating records accordingly. Conducting handover meetings passing secured projects to our production team. Continuing to develop relationships with clients to secure further business. Liaising with colleagues to facilitate the progression of tenders and projects. Producing estimates for projects ranging from £1,000 to £3,000,000 in value. The ideal applicant will be an Estimator Architectural & Structural Metalwork with: Estimating experience within the metalwork market sector, whether structural or architectural. Experience dealing with structural steel, balconies, balustrades, staircases, railings, glass systems, decking & sheet metalwork (advantageous). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and industry standards. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. Driven, enthusiastic, and comfortable working autonomously.
