Mixed Veterinary Surgeon - Lake District

Our client is an independent, family-run practice located on the outskirts of the breath taking Lake District National Park, and they are looking for a dedicated mixed animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.
It is an exciting time to join the team as building work is underway on their brand-new premises, an old Victorian manor house, and they are just weeks away from moving into the much larger site. This modern, purpose-built facility is fully equipped with state-of-the-art kennels and gold standard cattery, an imaging suite, dental suite, theatre, and three consult rooms.
They are searching for an individual who possesses a genuine enthusiasm for traditional mixed practice, combined with a strong desire to contribute to the growth of their small animal caseload which comprises of approximately 70% small animal, 30% farm (primarily dairy, with some beef and sheep), and occasional equine cases.
Currently the team consists of six vets with veterinary certificate holders in equine practice, small animal medicine, and diagnostic imaging. They are also a RCVS accredited nurse training practice with an amazing nursing team of 3 RVNs and 3 SVNs, one of whom holds a diploma in canine behaviour.
Our client takes great pride in supporting the professional development of their staff and encourages them to pursue their personal areas of interest. Outside of work they all enjoy a good laugh, including getting together for a night on the town, meeting for a meal of their annual family summer BBQ and Christmas parties, where a good time is had by all.

The Rota: • Full time role - 4 day week • 3 day week worked after a weekend on-call (1:4) • 1 regular night per week on call • Shared OOH rota
