About us

Axiom Therapeutics is a growing techbio start-up located in London, UK, developing cutting-edge AI for drug discovery and backed by top EU and US deeptech VCs. Our mission is to design small molecule drugs for the hardest-to-treat human diseases. Responsibilities

Lead and manage multiple complex scientific projects to drive forward Axiom's goals.

Plan, build and test ML pipelines for small molecule drug discovery including researching and developing ML architectures for drug discovery.

Train and evaluate ML interatomic potentials and integrate these with our biomolecular simulation tools.

Work closely with biomolecular simulation & other computational team members to design Axiom's computational small molecule drug discovery platform.

Work closely with our computational scientists to build robust training and testing datasets.

Be part of an interdisciplinary computational team advancing AI+physics in small molecule drug discovery.

Requirements

PhD/Postdoc in computational chemistry, molecular physics/engineering, computer science (or any degree with significant ML for science component) OR Master’s + 3 years experience in computational drug discovery.

Published track record of developing machine learning methods and graph neural networks for 3D atomic systems.

Experience in developing and applying machine-learned potential energy surfaces.

Proficiency with machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, JAX or similar).

Proficiency in scientific software development in Python.

Ability to clearly communicate complex scientific concepts in English.

Proven ability to work with interdisciplinary teams.

Desirable

Proficiency with curating QM (DFT) datasets for model training.

Familiarity with generative models for 3D atomic systems.

Proficiency in running distributed compute (CPU/GPU) on clusters/cloud.

Familiarity with modern scientific software practices (version control, containerisation, continuous integration etc) and an enthusiasm for writing clear, performant code.

Previous work in computational drug discovery in industry.
