Equans is recruiting for a Fabric Engineer in a mobile capacity on the HMCTS contract based from Stoke on Trent covering various sites across the Midlands. This is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £28,000 per annum and in addition you will receive an excellent benefits package.

What will you deliver? The primary purpose of the role is to carry out both planned and reactive maintenance on a wide variety of Fabric and limited Engineering Assets, ensuring all activities are completed in a safe and timely manner. Activities will include: Inspect/repair floor, walls, ceilings and roofs Inspect/repair free standing and fitted furniture Inspect/clear drainage and gully systems Inspect/replace lamps/tubes Inspect/repair doors (Inc. Fire Doors), windows and associated furniture Legionella duties – tap temps and flushing Painting, re-decorating and hanging of pictures/signs/notices Plantroom inspections and AHU filter changes Reactive repairs and initial attendance for toilets, leaks and blockages Assist engineering staff in a wide range of duties as required Carry out reactive/Ad-Hoc activities – being the first response on site, and where appropriate taking immediate action to make safe Escorting contractors What can we offer you? Would be desirable if you hold an NVQ (or similar) in either Plumbing, Carpentry or Decorating Services Demonstrable experience in either carpentry, painting, plumbing or flooring in a construction, repair or maintenance environment Good knowledge of Fire Door maintenance and inspection techniques Understanding of Legionella control techniques e.g., tap flushing UK Driving Licence Due to the nature of the contract, you will be required to go through an enhanced security vetting process which will include a criminal records check What’s next?
