We are currently seeking a skilled
Mobile Fitter
to join our team and support the maintenance and repair of construction vehicles and plant equipment on-site. If you have a strong mechanical background and are passionate about keeping heavy machinery in top working condition, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities: Perform on-site repairs and maintenance on various construction/engineering vehicles and plant equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, cranes, and dump trucks. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, ensuring quick resolution to minimize downtime. Carry out preventative maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tire checks. Use diagnostic tools and specialized equipment to troubleshoot and repair machinery. Maintain accurate records of all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts replaced. Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations, keeping both personnel and equipment safe.
Requirements Skills & Experience: Proven experience as a Mobile Fitter or in a similar role within the construction/engineering/plant sector. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in heavy machinery. Ability to work independently and problem-solve on-site. Proficient with diagnostic tools and machinery repair techniques. A strong focus on safety, with knowledge of industry safety standards. Full UK driving license required.
