Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our Service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working with the team to service and repair a variety of equipment at customer sites, including Fork Lifts, Warehouse Equipment, and Mobile Elevating Work Platforms. Acclaim is one of the largest independent Materials Handling Companies in England, with 8 depots spread around the country. With 42 years in the industry, Acclaim is a distributor for STILL, Hyundai, and Lonking machines, but also looks after a wide range of other manufacturers' equipment. Responsibilities Carrying out preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a range of materials handling and ancillary equipment. Carrying out fault diagnosis to identify reported breakdowns and identifying the parts and repairs to complete the work. Providing a professional, efficient service to our customers, maintaining and repairing the equipment to the highest standard whilst observing Health and Safety regulations at all times. Building customer relationships. Working closely with the sales team, informing them of any potential leads. Experience Relevant technical qualification (desirable, not essential). Previous experience within a similar role, ideally working on Forklifts or Plant equipment, or at a minimum, cars, vans, HGV, or agricultural machines. Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical principles. The ability to work independently and under pressure. Time management skills. Understanding customer needs.
