Mobile Maintenance Technician / Mechanical Engineer SALARY:
DOE plus Van, Tools, Overtime, Phone, Laptop, Pension LOCATION:
Based 50% in St Helens area / 50% traveling to clients (working away 2/3 nights a week). Flexibility for on-call / weekend work also required. ROLE DESCRIPTION:
As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will undertake reactive and preventative maintenance (PPM) while performing reactive repair works. Responsibilities include: Maintenance of large static capital plant equipment. Striving to optimise equipment performance, utilisation, and availability. Applying a strong health and safety ethic throughout all maintenance, using the correct PPE at all times. Undertaking repairs to equipment including mechanical hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, etc. EXPERIENCE:
Successful candidates will have completed a recognised mechanical engineering or general engineering apprenticeship or training (City and Guilds, NVQ, ONC, HNC, HND, or Degree) in a relevant discipline. Any electrical experience is a plus. You will have experience working on large static capital plant equipment such as Balers, Compactors, Shredders, Pelletisers, Crushers, Screeners, Quarry Equipment, and Production Equipment. Health and safety qualifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH are beneficial but non-essential.
