We have an exciting opportunity for a
Mobile Application Engineer
to develop and maintain the mobile app and supporting APIs for Hive Connected Homes. You will work across our full range of products, including Hive Active Heating, Lighting, EV Charging, Sensors & Plugs, and associated subscriptions and services. Location:
Predominantly home-based with occasional travel to our Windsor office. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver new and improved Hive features.
Maintain the existing Hive mobile application through bug fixing and refactoring.
Continuously improve and modernize the current codebase.
Support the wider technical team by contributing to best practices, knowledge sharing, and creating.
About You: Experience developing cross-platform mobile applications using JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and React Native.
Proficiency in unit/integration testing using Jest and RTL or similar.
Familiarity with Redux/Redux-Sagas/Redux Toolkit or similar.
Experience with iOS or Android development and integrating with native modules in React Native is desirable.
Knowledge of continuous integration and build distribution tools such as CircleCI, AWS CodeBuild, TestFlight, and Firebase App Distribution.
Familiarity with AWS Cognito, OAuth, or other SSO providers.
Competencies: Ability to plan, manage, and organize your own work.
Willingness to learn new technologies and improve existing solutions.
Strong collaboration skills to work with stakeholders and refine requirements.
Strategic and tactical thinking about the solutions we provide and maintain for our customers.
