About the Role:

An opportunity has arisen for a skilled Mobile X-Ray Engineer to join a well-established engineering team, providing maintenance and support across the Southern Region. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer looking for a home-based position with structured shifts, excellent benefits, and clear career progression.

As part of a five-member team, you will follow a structured shift pattern, ensuring a good work-life balance while supporting critical sites when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repair of X-Ray equipment at various customer locations. Provide on-call support on a rotating basis, including daytime and night shifts. Offer remote troubleshooting and telephone support during night shifts (typically low call volume). Attend occasional training sessions at the company's factory. Ensure all work is completed to high safety and compliance standards.

Shift Pattern: Weeks 1-3: Standard Monday to Friday schedule (36-hour workweek). Week 4 (Day Shift): On-call duty for emergency response at critical sites from Monday to Friday. Week 5 (Night Shift): On-call coverage from 4 PM to 4 AM, mainly remote support, plus weekend coverage.

Additional Benefits: Weekend coverage bonus: An additional 5-hour overtime payment will be added to your salary per covered weekend. Overtime: Any hours worked beyond the standard 36-hour week will be paid at time and a half.

What's on Offer: Starting salary of £38,000, increasing to £42,000 after completing a six-month probation and gaining competency for independent call-outs. 25 days of annual leave, plus eight statutory holidays. Salaries paid directly into your bank account on the 27th of each month. Fully expensed company vehicle for work-related travel. Company credit card for work-related expenses. Satellite navigation system, laptop, mobile phone, and necessary tools provided.

Requirements: Proven experience working on X-Ray or similar electro-mechanical equipment. A strong understanding of diagnostics, servicing, and repair processes. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Full UK driving licence. Willingness to travel across the Southern Region as required.
