ABOUT THE JOB Providing troubleshooting advice when required to Flight Crews and engineers worldwide to aid rectification of aircraft in service defects Carrying out daily calls to key line stations & 3rd party bases to discuss current aircraft defects, aircraft operational status and planned night stop maintenance Monitoring of Deferred Defects, Maintenance Actions and previous overnight maintenance activity to prevent Repair Interval Extension (RIE) process being invoked Liaising with the Flight Ops & Base Maintenance Departments as to the serviceability and readiness state of the aircraft to maintain the daily flying programme Co-ordination of Fleet Line Maintenance Activities worldwide through liaison with Engineers, Handling Agents, Flight Crews & Operations Duty Manager Acting as the initial focal point for all engineering issues within the TUI Group for Line Maintenance, and directing the resolution of any AOG situations Liaising with Part M on all technical and airworthiness queries between line stations and support departments Liaising with Boeing and component OEMs on operational technical issues when required Monitoring component removal history and invoking appropriate troubleshooting actions Use of the MEL to optimise the maintenance plan Supporting the Operation in a ‘hands on’ role where the need arises Deputising for the MOC Duty Manager ABOUT YOU Ability to hold CAA / EASA B1/B2 License Recognised Aircraft Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience Significant experience of AOG resolution, both hands on and detailed recovery planning An excellent knowledge of AMOS, including maintenance planning functions and modification control A logical thinker with the ability to generate ideas, alternatives, and solutions Excellent communication skills with the ability to discuss & explain complex situations to all areas of the business.
