Working closely with the Operational team and MRI clinical specialist, this post will provide professional, operational and strategic vision/leadership for ULTH MRI services. This role will direct and construct business plans, translating and considering potential conflicts within standards, expectations and information to effect National and Local targets and service objectives. Taking responsibility for the effective and efficient running of the MRI service, this post will support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service. With the operational team and MRI clinical specialist, the post holder will be responsible for the effective and efficient running of MRI across the Trust. To lead, manage and assess processes within the context of procurement, evaluation and selection of imaging equipment, including setting specifications and the writing of business cases to support service development. To direct and construct business plans, translating and considering potential conflicts within standards, expectations and information to effect National and Local targets and service objectives. To identify imaging service development opportunities through the analysis of complex patterns of service delivery and clinical developments and trends, investigating and assessing the conflicting clinical and financial constraints and outcomes of different models of healthcare delivery. Responsible for radiology services input into workforce planning within local and national recruitment programmes, taking into account and considering local and national aims and policies which are unpredictable and contain conflicting expectations and objectives.
