About The Role FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Model Risk Capabilities Manager to work for our client within the consulting sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a fully remote role. Our client is looking for a skilled individual to make a tangible impact on their business and customers. You’ll be helping to improve their model risk framework, system and reporting requirements, delivery planning and control support across the wider team. As Model Risk Capabilities Manager, you’ll be providing key input to the design and implementation of model risk framework elements which are compliant with regulatory and the client’s requirements. Responsibilities Helping to manage model risk across the bank through effective policies, standards, procedures, and system design. Acting as a point of contact for queries relating to policies and procedures across model risk. Helping to administer model risk governance in an efficient and effective manner. Developing and leading educational materials and training on model risk management. Support in improving the model risk framework, system and reporting requirements and delivering planning and control support. Support people to take personal responsibility for understanding, investigating, and embracing the opportunities AI & models can produce. Provide key input to the design and implementation of model risk framework elements which are compliant with regulatory requirements. Helping to manage model risk across Digital X through effective policies, standards, procedures, and system design. About You Requirements You'll also hold a degree in risk management, statistics, mathematics, business, economics, finance, or equivalent work experience. A proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. An affinity for absorbing complex information and implementing solutions that are simple, transparent, auditable, and fair. The ability to influence others while maintaining collaborative relationships with stakeholders. A results-focused approach to your work. Risk management experience together with experience of developing and maintaining policies and procedures. A desire for learning more about AW models. A background in Model Development or validation.
