Moderators

to join our External Quality Assurance team on a flexible worker contract for the following qualification: Level 1/2 Technical Award in Health and Fitness The purpose of moderation is to check that centres are correctly and consistently assessing student work and that the materials submitted for moderation meet the required standard. As a Moderator, you will be expected to complete moderation activities, completing reports within specific Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to a high standard during our moderation window which begins on 17 May 2025 and ends on 31 July 2025. How you'll make an impact: Attending team and internal standardisation meetings as required, taking ownership of collecting evidence as instructed by the Chief Moderator Demonstrating CPD across your area of expertise Moderating centre marking and documenting outcomes in line with quality assurance guidelines Planning moderation activities for providers allocated in line with NCFE requirements and the moderation sampling strategy, ensuring a proactive approach is taken Conducting timely moderation activities to monitor and review performance against Awarding Organisation (AO) and regulatory requirements to ensure quality and consistency We'd love to hear from you if you offer the following: A minimum of a level 3 qualification in the advertised subject area Evidence of working within the health and fitness sector Relevant teaching and/or assessing experience Excellent report writing skills Self-motivation and organisational skills Why work as a flexible worker for NCFE?
