The post holder supports the delivery of the intensive support team model providing leadership to professional and direct care staff, ensuring the availability of appropriate administrative support services in the team to release clinical time to care. The post holder will be expected to work Monday to Friday 9am-5pm with their colleagues providing leadership and clinical expertise to the team and advice to external agencies as required. The Matron will provide a visible, accessible, and authoritative presence in the team, to whom service users and their families can turn for assistance, advice, and support. Matrons must be clinically up to date and credible, having clinical skills expecting others to perform and being passionate about driving up clinical and professional standards.
