Do you want to help drive positive change in the West Midlands? We are looking for an experienced Monitoring & Evaluation Officer to join our Employment, Skills, Health & Communities (ESHC) Directorate. This is your chance to play a key role in delivering programmes that enhance skills, health, and opportunities across the region. As a Monitoring & Evaluation Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance and compliance of project providers.

From early mobilisation to programme delivery, your expertise will ensure that Employment, Skills, Health, and Communities programmes achieve their goals. You'll develop processes, provide guidance and reporting and manage relationships to maintain high standards and meet funding requirements. What you will be doing:

Monitor programme performance to support effective delivery and desired outcomes. Develop and implement robust monitoring, evaluation, and reporting processes. Provide insights and advice on provider performance and lead on resolving any underperformance issues. Ensure compliance with funding agreements and manage financial validation processes. Build strong working relationships with project providers, including colleges, local authorities, and private training organisations. Collaborate with delivery managers to schedule and manage reporting processes. Use data insights to forecast, plan, and support decision-making. Work with others to conduct compliance audits and track action plans to address findings. Work closely with finance and assurance teams to deliver accurate reporting. Provide support to delivery partners from project inception through to completion. What's essential:

Experience in contract management, performance monitoring, or compliance. Knowledge of government funding streams, particularly in employment, skills, and health. Strong numeracy and analytical skills, including budgeting and data analysis. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, with advanced reporting and presentation skills. A detail-oriented, organised approach with the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with internal teams and external partners. How to apply:
