The Mortgage Adviser will provide a range of services to HSBC customers supporting key life events such as buying a first home and home improvements. This service is offered in the branch location. The Mortgage Adviser will establish and grow our mortgage and protection business and will provide a professional advice service to both new and existing customers. Key to the role is the delivery of high quality, customer driven service by identifying customer needs for mortgage and mortgage related protection products and providing advice and services to meet those needs. You will: Provide an agile and flexible service to customers to meet their needs within their channel of choice. Listen to customers to identify and understand their current and future mortgage and protection needs, helping them to achieve a mortgage package that is fully tailored to their individual needs. Recognise the wider financial planning needs of individual customers and making referrals to other areas of the bank, where their wider needs can be met. Proactively develop and strengthen customer relationships and, in doing so, generate new business responsibly. Apply the principles of Treating Customers Fairly to everything you do. Develop and build effective working relationships with key stakeholders within and outside of the immediate business area. Requirements: As an Adviser, you must already hold RO1 / CF1 and CF6 (or CeMAP or equivalent). Communicate confidently and professionally with customers. Seek out and build on effective working relationships with key stakeholders within and outside of the immediate business area. Deliver satisfactory compliance and quality measures. Have experience of personally complying with business processes, rules, and regulations. Have a track record in the Mortgage and Lending environment. Be flexible with a working pattern to support operating hours of 8am-8pm Monday – Friday and 9am-6pm Saturday and Sunday. This role is being offered as hybrid working. You must be within commutable distance from our Glasgow, Hamilton Branch.
