Mortgage Compliance Officer / Business Assurance Officer - Mortgages

An opportunity is available for a Business Assurance Officer to join the compliance team, ensuring that the business assurance / consumer duty is maintained in areas of regulated and non-regulated property finance advice (mortgages, BTL, Bridging Finance, HNW, Self Build).
The role would suit someone who is already working within mortgage compliance / business assurance or an experienced Mortgage Adviser who has a genuine interest in compliance / consumer duty.

Areas of responsibility:
Business Assurance of regulated and non-regulated mortgage contracts.
File reviews - assessing suitability of the recommendation as well as Consumer Duty considerations.
Provide face-to-face or telephone feedback where appropriate.
Assisting with general compliance queries.
Dealing with Customer Due Diligence (CDD) queries.
Experience required:
Must have adequate knowledge of FCA principles and regulations.
Must have an understanding of the requirements under The Consumer Duty.
Must have experience in the mortgages sector, ideally having either from an advisory background or those that have conducted business assurance.
Must have adequate knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering / Consumer Due Diligence regulations.
Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be able to work as part of a team and individually.
Up to £43k basic + Bonus + Benefits
Hybrid working (3 days per week in the office).
