Job Description My client is a Main Car dealership based in Letchworth Garden City. They are currently looking to recruit an MOT Tester/Prep Technician. What the role will include: Ensure the MOT Test Centre conforms to the standards set by the Vehicle Inspectorate. Undertake MOT’s and re-tests, working within the DVSA framework. Carry out diagnostics and updates to vehicles, using the latest manufactured diagnostic equipment. Plan, carry out, check, and test all work done to the highest possible standard. Instruct the parts department on the parts that are necessary for the repair. Accurately report and record work done and tests carried out, and immediately report any further works required or vehicle faults. Assist service reception in recording, recovering, returning, and moving customers’ vehicles. Experience, skills and attributes: Must have an up-to-date MOT Licence. A full UK driving licence is essential. Ability to achieve high productivity and efficiency. Team player with a positive and can-do attitude. Self-motivated and customer focused. Excellent time management to ensure customer lead time scales are met.
