We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven and meticulous Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester for our brand new used car showroom. The right candidate must have great attention to detail, be reliable and have previous Mechanic experience. What you’ll be doing... You will work to the highest standard and demonstrate a sound up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques. Carrying out MOT on all our stock cars. Preparing cars to retail standard, using all the latest equipment and following our mechanical check process. Able to repair rather than replace where possible. Fitting and replacing parts as required. Diagnosing any faults on cars. Maintaining a clean and tidy working area at all times. Essential Skills: Either IMI Level 2 qualification or at least 3 years time served as a mechanic. Full MOT testers certification. Passionate about delivering high quality workmanship. A good level of experience within a garage/car repair environment. Previous experience in the Motor Trade essential. Able to work unsupervised in a busy environment. A keen eye for detail. Able to build positive working relationships with others. Strong ability to multi-task, think on your feet, problem solve and when necessary ‘roll your sleeves up and get involved’ with an appetite to grow and develop. Good time keeping skills. Full, clean UK driving licence. Benefits: Salary: £35,000 (dependant on experience) per annum with bonus incentives. Hours: 08:00-17:00 - 5 days, Monday to Friday. Saturday Rota work 1 in every month. Company Uniform - Trousers, Polo Shirt, Jacket, Safety Boots. Full Time Permanent Contract. Full training and on-going development. Pension scheme. 28 days holiday per annum including statutory holidays. Company and department social events. Job Types:
