This includes designing an engaging learning programme that meets sector needs and enables learners to achieve excellent outcomes at EPA, including interactive and innovative learning opportunities and resources across the automotive sector, e.g. Light Vehicle, Heavy Vehicle, Body and Paint. The postholder will be required to interpret requirements (of Standards, qualifications and employers) and plan stimulating and engaging learning journeys and resources across the whole learning programme, including preparation for end point assessment. All programmes must meet external and legislative requirements such as OFSTED or IfATE or other Standards, in addition to meeting funding compliance where required. Key Accountabilities: As a curriculum and sector specialist, design a cohesive learning package that enables learners to develop the knowledge and skills to thrive on their apprenticeship and make a valuable contribution to the workplace. Timely creation of innovative and engaging, bespoke learning programmes and resources that deliver a compliant, quality learning journey that meets learner and client needs. Actively contribute to the design and implementation of Remit’s curriculum strategy. Lead the development of new programmes, including establishing appropriate entry criteria and process; planning, creation and launch of learning resources, including those associated with preparation for accredited assessment/programme output. Actively consult with and obtain feedback from stakeholders and use this to inform improvements in the curriculum. Analyse learner outcomes and work with the IQA to ensure that the curriculum effectively prepares learners for EPA. Identify and engage with new and innovative approaches to learning, developing such methods and ideas into Remit’s learning content. Launch and promote programmes and content to internal and external stakeholders. Manage individual workload to meet project timescales including setting and managing customer and stakeholder expectations (internal and external). Work closely with the Creative team to make effective use of learning technologies and develop micro learning modules. Take responsibility for the quality assurance of learning materials and resources, prior to ‘go-live’ for learners. Proactively identify and explore opportunities to enhance Remit’s current curriculum offer including funded programmes, new markets and wider commercial opportunities. Contribute to external inspection and accreditation of Remit and its learning programmes through participation in inspections and events (e.g. OFSTED, IIP etc). Engage in CPD to ensure maintaining sector specialism and an expert in developing curriculum. Promote wellbeing, health and safety, Safeguarding, British Values, Prevent and Equality & Diversity both in practice and through the development of learning programmes and content. Work closely with colleagues and employers to ensure that additional opportunities to enrich programmes are explored. Maximise the use of existing resources for the benefit of learners, actively seeking feedback to drive continuous improvements. Any other duties as deemed appropriate by the Head of Curriculum and Creative Learning. Key Requirements Qualifications: Teacher certificate or L&D equivalent Functional skills Maths & English Level 2 or equivalent Experience: Extensive experience of designing and implementing learning programmes in a range of styles & settings (apprenticeship, commercial; delivered, self-serve etc). Excellent understanding of current L&D practice and ability to translate aspiration into action. Awareness of current regulatory frameworks that overlay to apprenticeships (and other funded programmes) including how they influence programme design, implementation & delivery. Understanding of the apprenticeship sector and curriculum. A strategic awareness of the education and business environment. Understanding of the use of digital technology in the development of curriculum. Extensive vocational experience within automotive including Heavy Vehicle. Ability to be responsive to business needs showing initiative, creativity, openness, adaptability to change and flexibility. Ability to communicate with credibility and clarity.
