Design Engineer / Mould Designer required for a leading mould tool engineering company specialising in multi-cavity moulds for the food, cosmetics, and household sectors. The company is respected for its innovative solutions and commitment to quality.
Role Overview:
Design blow moulds and other products using CAD software. Key Responsibilities: Design blow moulds and products. Analyse customer needs and create solutions. Develop 3D models using CAD software (Autodesk, Powershape preferred; training provided). Ensure moulds are cost-effective and meet specifications. Test and evaluate moulds. Communicate quality requirements. Resolve internal non-conformities. Work with suppliers on quality issues. Conduct supplier audits. Support FAIRs process. Identify cost reduction opportunities. Apply statistical analysis for trend monitoring. Manage document control. Implement 5S and Lean methodologies. Support HSE projects for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification. Ensure Health & Safety compliance. Key Requirements: Experience in mould design preferred, but open to graduate trainees. Proficiency in CAD software. Strong problem-solving skills. Innovative and efficient design solutions. Excellent communication skills. Self-motivated and reliable. Organised and able to multitask. Proactive approach to Health & Safety.
