Part-time Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I’m a 55-year-old gentleman with MS from Aberdare. I have difficulties with hand functions and mobility. I have two daughters. I enjoy rock music, going to the theatre, and watching rugby. I enjoy going out in the community and doing new activities.
PURPOSE OF JOB
I am looking to employ a Personal Assistant to access the local community and help me maintain my independence, at home and out in the community.
HOURS OF WORK
5 hours per week.
Extra hours will be available to cover my other PAs' holidays and any potential sickness.
RATES OF PAY
£12.90 per hour.
TASKS INVOLVED
Supervising me out in the community. Car transfers to ensure I am safe at all times. Assisting me during activities in the community. Assisting me with meals.
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
Car driver/owner with business class insurance. Patient and understanding of how my condition affects me. Experience in the care sector desirable.
ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly and appropriate holiday pay given.
The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).
