Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF I am a 19-year-old boy living in Aberdare with my family. I consider myself a good communicator and a kind person. I enjoy various activities including playing games, especially racing games and Minecraft. I have a keen interest in the supernatural and enjoy DIY projects with my grandad. I also like taking photos and creating videos for YouTube. I love animals, particularly dogs, and enjoy going to music festivals. PURPOSE OF THE JOB I am looking for a PA who can assist me in gaining some independence away from my parents. HOURS OF WORK 4 hours a week, to be used flexibly (sometimes as 2-hour blocks or sometimes as a block of 4 hours). RATES OF PAY £11.44 per hour plus mileage TASKS CAN INCLUDE Supporting me to access activities such as going to look at trains, going to the gym, or visiting parks. Taking me to McDonald's or other places I would like to go. Keeping me safe at all times. Being a companion as well as my PA. TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED Car owner/driver. Experience working with children with additional needs. Shows initiative. Good sense of humour. Happy to suggest new places for us to go. Must respect confidentiality. ABOUT THE JOB This will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number. A trial period of six months will be necessary. The wage will be paid monthly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive appropriate holidays and holiday pay. This post is subject to an enhanced police check (DBS) and training may be required if identified by the employer.
