BAND 6 MRI Radiographer FULL TIME - 37.5 HOURS PER WEEK The United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust is one of the largest Trusts in the country, providing acute services across the county of Lincolnshire. We are seeking a dynamic MRI radiographer to join the dedicated team in the MRI department at Grantham & District Hospital and the nearby Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC1) on Gonerby Road, Grantham. This is a rotational post between the two sites. Grantham & District MRI performs over 1800 cardiac MRI studies every year, so cardiac MRI experience is preferred but not essential. Candidates will need to be able to travel between sites. We house a Phillips Ambition 1.5T and a Siemens Sola 1.5T so training on both systems will be available. The MRI service is open from 07:20 to 20:30 hrs daily, 7 days a week. This is a small, friendly, busy but dedicated team, and they need someone who is a team player, and able to take the department forward as the Trust develops its MRI scanning services. A flexible approach to the working day is essential. The successful candidate will be a State Registered Radiographer with MR experience, or a band 5 radiographer with a special interest. You will be part of a small but dedicated team, delivering high quality MR imaging within a DGH and also within a new Community Diagnostic Centre. There will be a large amount of stress and non-stress cardiac MRI as well as a mixture of out patient work. Job responsibilities

Qualifications

BSc (Hons) or DCR in Diagnostic Radiography. HCPC registration Previous Experience

Knowledge of current MRI practices and safety issues. Understanding of NHS demands for MRI services and challenges. Cannulation and IV administration. Evidence of managing a small team. Previous MRI experience Previous experience within the NHS Skills

Able to work alone or as part of a team. Demonstration of organisational skills. Ability to work to a high standard, both technically and in patient care. Good interpersonal skills, approachable and flexible. Ability to work closely with management and senior colleagues to improve standards. Demonstrate ability to work and integrate with a well-established team. Specific Requirements
