The Role:

To provide front office support to the Equity / Fixed Income Dealing teams in London including new issues / capital raisings / project related work as well as 3rd party relationship management. This will involve overseeing Aladdin ASM, DMT, Investment tech, and SSMO. The role will be demanding, requiring good market / system knowledge, communication, coordination, and cooperation across 1st line business areas, across the UK, Singapore and Chicago desks.

We are looking to recruit an experienced support person to join the team; you will be responsible for providing day-to-day support of all dealing activities for the Business working closely with the Head of Dealing Services and our UK and Regional Dealing Desks. The team of 4/5 is responsible for ensuring all dealing support / oversight, 'first line' activities are reviewed, query resolution in respect of the dealing desk and processes within, as well as providing regular reporting for Dealing Management Committee statistics supporting MiFID II Post Trade Transparency Reporting, broker onboarding coordination as and when required and other regulatory related work.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Responsibilities

Field all trade enquiries to and from dealers and help prioritise all dealing desk responses. Undertake periodic / ad hoc tasks as and when required (e.g. Review of execution rates with the dealers annually, complete any counterparty breach forms, confirmation of novation process, and external stakeholder management / dealing relationships). Ensure controls in respect of COBs monitoring are carried out as required with a good understanding of relevant RCMs across the Front Office teams. Close liaison with Stakeholders and Risk, particularly around ongoing analysis and MI provision. Work with management to improve processes, customer outcomes, ensuring risks are understood and controls are appropriately applied.

Analysis / MI Responsibilities Understand the rules and regulations in regards to Best Execution and our oversight obligations in BAU. Support the process improvements. Work to improve client and firm outcomes across FI / EQ Trading including Spread, Cash, Algo and PT, Futures, Convertible bonds, ETFs and Options. Support the Dealing teams reporting on ongoing implementation monitoring via Monthly, Quarterly TERFs and interactions / usage also of our Independent TCA vendors analysis, (including peer groups). Support for monthly reporting of summary MI, TERF minutes and related submissions to the Dealing Management Committee, while supporting periodic thematic Compliance reviews or Audit / AAF / ICF / FORT requests. Generation of Hit Ratio%'s / Counterparty Review Reporting both for quarterly / bi-annual counterparty meetings. Regular analysis support for Clients, Heads of Dealing and Fund Manager Assistants in relation to Implementation. Input and Analysis around regular Post Trade Transaction Reporting (PTTR), obligations and issue resolution.

General Responsibilities Maintain desk procedures, how-to guides and risk registers, ensuring all processes and controls are captured and adhered to by those involved in the implementation process. SME for any broader project related work across Dealing activities, including potential vendor onboarding, QSRs and analysis requirements such as the PTB project. Support of key controls / monitoring via Aladdin, Bloomberg, Surveillance Grid and COBRA e.g. exceptions monitoring, price limits, liquidity, pre-post trade analysis and credit limits etc. Raise, test and sign off small changes to systems, working closely with system development and front office system support teams.

What we are looking for:

Required Ideally experience of and a good understanding of Equity / Fixed Income dealing and markets within the asset management industry. Experience on a Fixed Income or Equity dealing desk / or related operational and settlement process exposure. High level of accuracy and strong analytical / system skills with experience of execution quality / trading oversight and related MI production. Bright, enthusiastic and proactive. Due to the nature of the role, a self-starter is essential. Numerate, logical and analytical approach, with a mathematical discipline at A-level/degree. Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external contacts. Able to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines with good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Desired Previous knowledge / use of Aladdin, Bloomberg and 3rd-Party front office vendor or sell-side systems. Knowledge of broad range of asset classes (e.g. Equity, Fixed Income, Convertibles and Derivatives). Experience in a front office environment and an understanding of risk and control within the asset management industry. Experience of maintaining procedural / workflow documentation and good MS Excel, PowerBI and/or VBA type skills. Holder of the Investment Management Certificate (IMC), with support offered towards other recognised professional qualifications.
