4 on, 4 off As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing critical machinery in a busy recycling facility. Your role will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of compactors, balers, conveyors, and more, with a focus on electrical maintenance and fault diagnosis. You’ll be part of a dedicated engineering team committed to maintaining high standards of safety and productivity. Key Responsibilities: Conduct routine and reactive maintenance on recycling equipment, including compactors, balers, forklifts, and conveyors. Diagnose and repair electrical faults and systems. Perform planned preventative maintenance to minimise downtime. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Collaborate with other departments to maintain production schedules. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in an industrial or recycling environment. Strong electrical background (City & Guilds or equivalent). Experience with PLCs, inverters, and electrical systems. Excellent fault-finding skills. Ability to work independently and within a team.
