Your primary focus will be on electrical systems, complemented by mechanical tasks as required, to ensure the smooth running of production and minimal downtime. Key Responsibilities: Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns, focusing on efficient electrical fault-finding and repair. Perform preventative maintenance and ensure factory start-up testing is completed effectively. Work on a wide range of equipment, including PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, inverters, and control systems. Maintain compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times. Collaborate with production teams to identify and implement equipment improvements. Support contractors as needed and ensure documentation is completed accurately. Ideal Candidate: We're looking for someone with strong technical expertise, particularly in electrical engineering, alongside a good understanding of mechanical systems. Key Requirements: A recognised time-served apprenticeship or relevant qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering (minimum NVQ Level 3). Proven experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ideally within food or FMCG sectors. Sound knowledge of PLC systems, fault-finding, and PPM processes. Hands-on experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and inverter/PC systems. Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
